Meg

Met a girl called Meg tonight. How nice that she should fit in so alphabetically to my blog!? I met her when we were both in Cyprus. Her story made me want to do something - check out it out here.

So we will now be skiing for the RNID and Brains Trust.

Wish us luck :)

Matt

Matt is a tricky person to track down. Like the Scarlet Pimpernel; he's here, he's there... and at the mo he's in Siberia. (Oh come on - it kinda rhymes!?)

I have never met Matt and so can tell you very little about him.

One thing I can tell you about Matt - he wants a BIG gun.

Polar bears - you've gotta ask yourselves one question...

Mark

My mate Mark is a top bloke! We have known each other for longer than I can remember. During this time we have been on so many DofE expeditions together.

There is a worrying fact connecting Mark and these expeditions. Every time Mark is there, something seems to go wrong for me. For example, he was there when I accidentally set fire to my boxers, sunk to my waist in a peat bog, got chased by a herd of cows... I hope he doesn't bring us bad luck in Greenland!

It's not like Mark is perfect tho. He is a bit of a scatter brain and so laid back, at times he is horizontal! That said, going on this expedition without him, would be kinda like going with out my skis!

Well, I have to be a bit nice to him... I'll probably be stuck in a tent with him!

Iain

I don't know much about Iain, but what little I know, I like.

I have met Iain once in Scotland - on my birthday. We drank until four in the morning and then Iain disappeared...

I think Iain's a veggie. I know he doesn't like oysters and he has also skied across the Vatnajökull icecap in Iceland.

I think we'll get on in Greenland :)

Alistair

Alistair is one of my favourite people in the whole world. Why? Well... If you knew him you wouldn't have to ask why.

Dr Shorty is a keen mountaineer, rock climber, curry master, cyclist, fell runner, whisky drinker, caver, triathlete,... and he swims like a wind-up frog!

We have done loads of things together. One of the most memorable was his starring role in a documentary (!?!?) I made. In the summer of 2004 Alistair and I completed a self-supported ski-touring expedition across the Vatnajökull icecap in Iceland.

It was after this trip that Alistair had the idea of doing the Greenland expedition. So if it all goes wrong I guess it's his fault.
